Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Love is in the air!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner (two weeks from today exactly). Whether you are single, taken, married, whatever, it's a nice time to show someone how much you love them. When I buy gifts, I like to go for things that people probably wouldn't buy for themselves, but that they would enjoy. Little extra luxuries. Goodies. Treats.  Here are some gift ideas that are more exciting than a box of chocolates (don't get me wrong now, I still love me some dark chocolate)!

1 Acqua di Gio pour Homme Eau de Toilette, $40 for 1oz. 2 "I Wheelie Like You" pillow, $29. 3 Jack Black 'First Class Five' Set, $49. 4 Movado Large Bold Watch, $350. 5 Soundlink Mini Bluetooth Speaker, $199.

1 Bella J 'Roseberry' candle, $25. 2 Deux Lux 'Lulu' Heart Key Ring, $35. 3 Philosophy 'My Heart to Yours' Lip Duo, $20. 4 Pave Square Stud Earrings, $95. 5 Jo Malone 'Red Roses' Bath Oil, $65.

Everything shown here can be found at Nordstrom

What are you doing for your special someone this Valentine's day? I may be single this year, but I will definitely be using this holiday as an excuse to treat myself!

Top 5 Favorite Lip Balms

*mwah!*

Don't you just love the feeling of a good lip balm? Wonderfully soft and smooth moisture, delicious flavors and sometimes even tastes. I think it's somewhat addictive. The more you use it, the more you seem to need it. I have been addicted to lip balm for a long time now, and now I'm going to share with you my top five, tried and true lip balm products.

1. Dior Creme de Rose $27.00

There is a reason Dior's Creme de Rose is so popular and it is the same reason why it is first on this list. This stuff is amazing! It is extremely hydrating and incredibly smooth and has SPF 10. It has a subtle rose scent and you can barely see the light pink color when it's on your lips. It's a little more expensive than your average lip balm, but I have used it every single day (and night) since I bought it, so to me it's worth the money. This is a five star lip balm for sure.
Buy it here at Sephora.

2. Rosebud Perfume Co. Strawberry Lip Balm $7.00

This strawberry lip balm is an old favorite for me. I love the vintage gold tin that it comes in. It's smooth and moisturizing, and $20 cheaper than creme de rose. It is strawberry scented, and as much as I love strawberries I'm not too crazy about the scent of this balm. It's definitely an artificial strawberry scent, but it's not too strong and doesn't bother me. I always keep this in my purse; it's a good everyday balm.
Buy it here at Sephora.

3.  Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (Sugar Honey Tinted) $22.50

As you can see in my pictures, I've had this stuff for a while now and I am in love with it. It's so moisturizing and makes your lips feel amazing. It definitely has a color but it's very natural on my lips. It comes in a lot of different shades; the one I have is a sheer warm nude that comes in a bronze case. This has SPF 15 in it as well.
Buy it here at Sephora.

4. Dior Addict Lip Glow (Pink) $32.00

This balm claims to enhance the natural beauty and adjust to the color of your lips to create your perfect shade of pink. So in theory, the color would show up different on everyone's lips. I always keep this in my purse and reach for it when my lips need some color and moisture, but I don't want to wear lipstick or a gloss. It feels soft and smooth and I like the pink color it gives my lips.
 Buy it here at Sephora.

5. Eos Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm $3

I had to include a good drugstore product on this list, and lately I've been loving this little eos balm. I love the shape of it and how quick and easy it is to apply. It has a nice strawberry scent and no tint or color. Good to throw in your gym bag or to use while traveling.
Buy it here on Amazon.
